Menstruation and Menopause – The SHAKE Africa Project Dr. Ifewumi Fagunwa is an award-winning medical doctor, obtaining her medical degree from University College London (UCL) and a Neuroscience graduate from King’s College London. She has a long-standing interest in women’s rights and sexual and reproductive health and is the founder of SHAKE Africa – a non-profit committed to improving women’s health outcomes in Africa and the diaspora. She also sits on the young women’s advisory council for Forward:UK – the leading African women-led organization working to end violence against women and girls.
She is an Academic Futures scholar and NDPH scholar at the University of Oxford where she will be commencing a masters in global health science and epidemiology. As a result of her advocacy work she has been recognized as one of the top 5 rising stars in healthcare in the UK.
