About Alison Jaye
A Little About Me...
Alison Jaye is the author of the Ethel Mae books, Broken Pieces Behind The Mask and Pack Your Luggage But Leave Your Baggage, with more titles coming soon. A qualified and certified Coach, Stress Management Therapist, Public Speaker and an Ordained Minister, born and raised in London, England.
Having experienced many traumatic events and challenges in her own life Alison found she was able to reach and help young people overcome many of the obstacles and life challenges that they face. Many who had been through some quite traumatic life changing experiences and were in need of guidance and help to push past where they had been, and on the road of better days and years ahead. This led to women reaching out, seeking Alison out for coaching.
It was after helping many women face and overcome their struggles Alison realized that many men were struggling, who mentally and emotionally were silently dying inside. Many who felt as though they needed to be super strong and hold it all together all the time, with no outlet. Seeing an alarmingly high rate of young men of color suffering from mental illness, this is how her coaching went from teenagers, women and children to include men.
Alison truly believes that we all have the resources and power within to live the life we deserve and the best life possible, the abundant life that God has promised. And has made it her aim and goal to help as many people as possible realize their potential, as a guest speaker at workshops, as a guest on discussion panels, seminars, conferences and 1 to 1 coaching sessions. The unfortunate thing is that many do not realize that this is within them, achievable and possible. As life has diminished their faith, they are war-weary and wounded.
Alison has impacted the lives of many around the world. These appearances have taken place at women’s weekend workshops, conferences, schools, published books, television, radio, published articles and churches to name a few.
She keeps in close contact with many of the people she has mentored and coached almost like a proud parent watching from the sidelines. Alison also ran a successful Wedding Planning and Event Management company while living in London. Before becoming a Coach, Alison was employed full time as an Office and Facilities Manager within various industries for many years.
In early 2012 Alison moved from London, England to Miami, Florida, which allowed her to be closer to family, then eight years later, in early 2020 she moved to the Washington DC area. As a hobby Alison writes poetry and short stories, is a creative cook, loves to travel and has quite a large diverse library and music collection. While working as a Coach Alison plans to continue her ministry as she believes that being connected and healthy spiritually is as important as emotional and mental health. Alison has a passion and focus for the needs of people of all ages, from all walks of life.
Alison believes that everyone has the tools and ability they need within them to live a healthy and fulfilled life. Many just need help to achieve that, and that is where she comes in.
"I want my life, my story, my journey to be such an example and an inspiration, that others will look on and be encouraged to keep going."
